Evaluation of the International Legal Assistance Consortium (ILAC), Global Core Support 2018-2021
Tana Copenhagen is currently conducting an evaluation of the Legal Assistance Consortium (ILAC). ILAC is a non-profit organisation, formalised as an NGO under Swedish law, with its headquarters in Sweden, where a small Secretariat coordinates the Consortium. ILAC aims is to strengthen the rule of law, empower legal professionals and ensure equal access to justice for all where people’s justice needs are greatest – in conflict, crisis, or transition. ILAC is a mechanism to coordinate the work of international and regional actors in the re-establishment of the rule of law in war-torn countries. It also aims to contribute to international policy dialogue in justice sector reform design and implementation in transitional settings.
The objective of this evaluation is to evaluate ILAC’s work during the ongoing agreement period, 2018 to date, with a focus on relevance, coherence, and effectiveness. This evaluation is commissioned by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).
