Review of Third Party Monitoring approaches used in Somalia

Tana is currently conducting a review for  DFID Somalia of different third-party monitoring approaches used in Somalia by various donors.

Third Party Monitoring is used by DFID Somalia as a key part of the Enhanced Risk Management Strategy to provide assurances on project delivery. A secondary objective of TPM is to learn what does or does not work from programmes and to share this with partners.

The two main objectives for this review are:

a) to learn lessons about what does or does not work for different programmes or contexts;

b) to identify whether there is potential for more cooperation across DFID and wider (UK Government and other donors) for example through sharing TPM findings, coordination or complete harmonisation.

Tana has provided five experts for  the review, of which one is team leader.
