M&E and Communication Consultancy for Africa Programme for Peace (APP) IV, AfCFTA and WPS

The Africa Programme for Peace (APP) has been a Danish flagship programme which has made a significant contribution to the development of multilateral African institutions focussed on peace, security, and good governance in Africa since 2004. APP IV, launched in 2018, has continued to contribute to this progress. It has supported the African Union (AU) and Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) in tangible ways, building their capacity on conflict management and good governance, and enabled them to engage in mediation and peacebuilding activities and to support elections. 

Tana Copenhagen together with Ecorys have been appointed to support the Danish Embassy in Addis Ababa in:

a)  establishing and facilitating a functioning monitoring and risk management system for the Africa Programme for Peace (APP) IV Programme and the support for the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and the African Unions (AU) Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda that will help improve their effectiveness, facilitate learning and ensure informed decision-making by the Embassy and its partners, and maximise transparency and accountability regarding the development of the programme;

b)  communicating to the general public in both Denmark and the relevant geographical reference area of the APP IV, AfCFTA and WPS in Africa, and certain specific target groups to be agreed, the relevant achievements and results obtained by APP IV, Danish support for AfCFTA and WPS.
