Project Evaluation: Bridging the Gap Between Formal and Informal Justice

Tana Copenhagen will conduct an evaluation of GIZ’s project “Bridging the Gap between Formal and Informal Justice”, a project supporting capacity building one informal and formal justice actors in Afghanistan and working to improve links between different stakeholders.

The primary purposes of the evaluation are learning and accountability, with a focus on the latter. It is intended to focus on the overall merit and value of the intervention, from both a programmatic and cooperation perspective. Its temporal scope is the project period, and its geographical scope encompasses all Afghan provinces where activities were conducted (Badakhshan, Baghlan, Balkh, Jawzjan, Samangan, Kunduz and Takhar), including Kabul. The evaluation’s users are the requesting parties (DGIS and BMZ), with secondary users identified as the GIZ programme “The Promotion of the Rule of Law”.
