Near–End Review of the Tax Modernisation Programme to Support Implementation of Tanzania Revenue Authority’s Fifth Corporate Plan (CP5)

The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) was established in 1996. Development Partners (DPs) have supported TRA through Tax Modernisation Programme (TMP) since 1999. Currently the implementation of TMP programme is in its fifth period and it is called the Fifth Corporate Plan (CP5). The overall objective of the CP5 is to enhance domestic resource mobilisation through enhanced voluntary compliance in line with national and international good practises to fulfil TRA’s vision, we make it easy to pay tax and make lives better.

Tana Copenhagen will undertake a near-end review to provide insights on how the TMP has contributed to the implementation of TRA’s CP5 and the strategic objectives as well as to provide recommendations on how this could inform opportunities for support in the area of tax going forward. Tana will provide two experts in this assignment including our in-house expert: Anders Kragh Bingen.
